We lived in Long each, California for 44 years; the first year in a rented house and thereafter at 1825 Knoxville Ave, about 1/2 mile from Cal. State Long Beach. The first year was one of exploration. With our new camping equipment and a bare minimum of experience using it, I was nevertheless ready to check out the wonders surrounding Long Beach – particularly the deserts, totally foreign to us easterners. It was 45 years before the home computer age, so my memory is the best source of information. We’ll see how that goes!
