I wonder now why I found 65 such a significant number of years to have survived. From the perspective of 90 that seems like just entering middle age. But it was the beginning of a series of memorable birthday celebrations at age 70, 80 and 90.

Letters from Eric – private
I came across one of the many letters Eric has written over the years when looking for something else and found it so fascinating I want to pass it on. Eric had several phases of letter writing and became well known for them. One was to write a birthday letter to each member of the family.
